Founder of Money School

Money School is also the title of her international award-winning book, out now with Penguin Life.Lacey graduated as valedictorian from the University of Queensland with an Honours degree in Chemical Engineering (if you want to find out how a chemical engineer ends up teaching people about money, check out her TEDx talk.) She is the winner of a 2019 Business News ‘40 under 40’ Award.
Co-Founder of Sun Bella
Jillian Intini is the co-owner of a successful small business called Sun Bella Pty Ltd, which designs and manufactures sun safe apparel and accessories. Her inspiration for the business was generated by working as a clinical nurse in many areas over 35 years including the operating theatre. It became apparent to her that sun protection was not a priority for the Australian Woman. She began the business with her daughter Casey Bryden (who has a degree in Marketing) 12 years ago. Their goal is to make sun protection an attractive accessory to encourage Australian women to take care of their skin before the damage is done.
Founder of The Quick Flick & Beauty Fridge
Iris Smit is Australia’s beauty innovation queen, having erupted onto the small business scene in 2018 with her game-changing winged eyeliner stamp as featured on Shark Tank Australia. Within a few short months, this genius product was generating hundreds of thousands of dollars revenue every month and had stockist requests from some of Australia’s biggest beauty retailers. After the success of her winged eyeliner stamp, Iris released a range of beauty tools to her loyal customer following, including a makeup eraser pen and 2-in-1 eyeliner and lash adhesive pen.
A second brand followed, with the launch of Beauty Fridge – a chic, benchtop mini fridge designed to safely store and preserve skincare. Again, Iris’ knack for what beauty consumers really want paid off, with the new Beauty Fridge brand seeing sales in the millions.
Most recently, The Quick Flick brand has expanded into the evolving ‘skinscreen’ category, with the launch of two SPF 50+ skincare products in late 2021. With her innovative beauty solutions loved worldwide, The Quick Flick brand is now available in Australia, New Zealand, United States, United Kingdom, Germany and the United Arab Emirates.
Always striving to challenge beauty standards, Iris is paving the way for ‘real beauty’ marketing and opts to use customers instead of ‘models’ and bans the use of airbrushing and digital retouching in all The Quick Flick and Beauty Fridge advertising.
Director of DL Social
A Perth-based marketing and social media consultancy established in 2015, that works with small to large businesses and organisations across the country. However, that is not all Demelza does. A life-long passion for music and pop culture, Demelza has worked as a Dance Music Editor of Perth street press X-Press Magazine, has interviewed international music acts such as Pitbull, LL Cool J, Ice Cube and has hosted several radio shows in between.
Currently, Demelza is the Music Presenter on The Couch which airs weekly on Foxtel, the Pop Culture expert on ABC Perth Drive and curator of newly established Perth Events & Pop Culture social media profile Pop Goes The Diva. Although, she dabbles in music and pop culture, this has helped her build a successful social media and marketing consultancy which requires her to stay up to date with fast evolving trends, online conversations and creating unique content for her clients. Using her knowledge and skills in marketing allows her to manage client accounts with her team or advise many business owners with easy to relate lessons and presentations.
Demelza’s tenacity, determination and drive to help business owners navigate through the ever-changing world of social media and marketing has helped her create a successful and unique career path. A testament that in 2023, if you are true and authentic to yourself and purpose, you can redefine the cookie cutter expectation of what a “successful business woman” should do.
